Thank you for a lovely stay. The girls enjoyed playing with the cats. (The cats coped well with the squealing!) The weather was good – lots of sun. The area was beautiful – the girls especially liked feeding lambs at Cotswold Farm Park and the big climbing tower and slide at Sudeley Castle. Thankyou. God bless. Thanks for the fresh eggs too.

Cottage is very clean and comfy. Great base from which to explore. Had a really relaxing time before we take on our new pub venture. The Farmers Arms has good beer and food, very nice and reasonably priced. The Haw Bridge does a fantastic Sunday Carvery. If you like Indian food the Rajshahi on the High Street in Tewkesbury. Dogs loved the garden. It’s a shame we had to leave early due to bereavement but rest assured we will return. Good luck and best wishes

– Julie, Linda, Stephen, Claire and the girls, Tilly & Lucy, Banstead

A charming cottage, very welcoming and well-equipped, Many thanks for all the thoughtful touches – the welcome pack, milk, good explanations on how everything worked, the choice of videos, games, books for all ages – much appreciated. It was like staying at a friend’s house for a week. Also like the way that it is an eco-friendly house and chance to compost and recycle. Very friendly black cat purred companionably in the kitchen. Thanks a lot.

– Elsa, James, Stuart, Tigger (+Richard & Pat)

Dear Su & Len -thanks for the stay at your lovely cottage. It’s the first time I’ve been able to get here but it certainly lives up to the good things Julian, Sophie and Niall have said about it. We had a great time – giant frosted cobwebs along the side of the cottage looked magical. Hope you hvae a good New Year and look forward to seeing you again in 2009. Very best wishes

– Karen, Julian Sophie and Niall

Dear Su & Len. What a lovely spot. We felt very comfortable and as hosts you have thought of everything! A lovely garden and great countryside, it’s just a shame we couldn’t stay longer. Recommend Winchcombe – lots of nice shops, pubs and things to do. Thanks again for everything

– Claire, Roy, Ellie and Jack, Sidcup, Kent

Su, Len. Everything perfect, the dogs – Fizz & Maisie have had a ball! Your sweet dog Pula. I loved her right away, Maisie barked too much but she loved Pula too! Hope to come here again.

– June & Will

We’ve had a very enjoyable week. The cottage is very comfortable and this area is beautiful and leaves much to be explored on future visits. We enjoyed cycling here as it is far less hill than home. The little black cat will miss us as she has adopted us this week. We return to our own two cats but look forward to coming back.

– Liz, Dave, Ivan & Ethan Tory, Lewes, East Sussex

We had no idea how much there was to do in the area. We’ll have to come back for more. Loved the wood burner which helped us make our minds up to get one to fill an empty fireplace that we’ve been deliberating over at home!

– Mark, Sarah, Robin, Cara and Jasmyn

My seventieth birthday celebrations with my family in Gloucester were great. The icing on the cake was staying here in a cottage tailor-made for us all – daughter Jane, son-in-law Stephane and partner Gwen. I personally love your free range hens.

– Alan

Dear Su & Len. We had a great time here at Cooks Green Cottage for the last 3 weeks. It was a very charming way to discover the English countryside lifestyle, especially the girls, who hadn’t been here before. We didn’t see you much but thank you for bringing the girls to see the polo ponies; it became a daily ritual. Thank for everything. Merci pour tout!

– Kim, Nina and Jim Apperley, Montreal, Canada

We spent a lovely time in this very nice cottage. With our three little daughters we visited some nice places in the Cotswolds, went to Oxford and even made some walks in the neighbourhood and Wales. Very nice holiday indeed.

– Anja, Nico, Anne & Kat, Antwerp, Belgium

Thank you for the use of your beautiful cottage. It has been a perfect base for exploring the wonderful countryside (particularly Symonds Yat!)
We have had a lovely time and look forward to coming again.

Another good visit. Becoming a “home from home”. Dogs loved the walks and the flooded fields!
Thanks for the chocolate and wine. Happy Christmas and a good New Year. We will see you again in 2010.

– Jackie, Mike, Gemma and dogs - Rufus, Inca, Layla and Coco

Thank you for such a warm welcome. The cottage is well equipped and really clean. We have had a lot of fun with the children here and will have many happy memories to take away.
Cooks Green Cottage is an excellent base to explore The Cotswolds with most things within an hour’s drive.
Thanks again, looking forward to seeing you again

– Beck, John, Ruby and Sam

Thanks Su and Len so much for your friendly hospitality. You made us feel very welcome. Lovely cottage and you have thought of everything. We were very comfortable here. Shame about the weather but hey out of your control eh!! Buddie had the time of his life too! Take care.

– Jill and Lor (Torquay)

How amazing to come and stay with people who have the same surname! What fun! Love your cottage and made to feel so welcome. We will definitely be back. With love

– Rich and Michelle Attard, Essex

This is our second time staying at your cottage and once again it has been wonderful. We were very surprised to see the little black cat again, but it’s looking better than ever. Bobo, the beautiful black and white rescue dog was another great surprise and me and Anna really enjoyed stroking him.
Thank you for your warm welcome xx

– Nell, Liz, Anna and Dave

We have really enjoyed our week in the cottage. Tali (Welsh Springer) has loved playing in the garden and looking at puss through the cat flap! We’ve been visiting places where family lived in the 18th and 19th centuries, including Ashleworth, Hartpury and Corse on the other side of the river. Ashleworth is beautiful, with its church, little barn, court house and pub (The Boat) beside the river, cuckoo and kingfisher in the background.

– Andrew and Wendy Roberts, Cambridge

Thank you so much for yet another very comfortable week. The cottage is the perfect base for us for what is a hectic week. Hopefully see you again in three years’ time.

– Becki, Victoria and Clare

Thank you for a lovely week. Cottage very nice and comfortable, everything we needed. The dogs loved the garden along with Charlotte, as well as the lovely walks across the fields. Plenty of sight seeing – sorry we have to go home.

– Ken, Jonathon, Morwenna, Charlotte, Baby George, Arthur and Bertie

Thank you for the use of your beautiful cottage. We have had a super break away over Christmas and have been very impressed by both the cottage and the surrounding countryside. We are all very relaxed and have found the cottage a perfect spot from which to go exploring. Ron has had a super time too and doesn’t really want to go home. Many thanks once again and a happy New Year!

– Fiona, Colin, Darren, Vicky, Gary and of course Ron!

A lovely cottage to spend a few nights in while visiting family in Tewkesbury. The boys loved playing football in the garden and watching some of the old videos. It was lovely to have the personal touches such as all the paintings. Thank you for the welcome pack also.

– Paul, Rachel, Joseph, Oliver and Harry, Eastbourne

Had a lovely time, the cottage is very homely and just what we needed. Jasper (Westie) loved it especially the garden. We loved watching the birds on the feeders (woodpeckers). Would love to come back.

– Dave, Suzanna, Gemma and Laura Hall, Newcastle-upon-Tyne

A great time had by all. The grandson went home each day worn out. Thanks for the welcome gifts, most enjoyable. Couldn’t be better! Best wishes

– Steve, Julie & Jack

Thank you so very much for letting us stay. The cottage is amazing, thank you once again :)

Thank you both for letting us stay! Even though we only spent a few days actually here as we were working the rest of the time, this is really an amazing place and i hope I can come again.
-Also thank you for the little presents you left for us! (The chocolate was much appreciated)
And your doggies are lovely!
Thanks for everything!

What an amazing place. Really friendly welcome and a lovely place to stay – all eventualities catered for. Although we used it as base for work, we were able to enjoy some relaxing time here during days off. Thanks for the gifts on arrival and for incredible attention to detail. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you again for everything.

– Steve + Nikki (W. Sussex)

Thank you for the wine and chocolates – much appreciated! We’ve had a great week in your lovely cottage. :)

Lovely cottage, we’ve all spent a great week here!
Fantastic garden, which the kids and dog have enjoyed playing in – capped off by the apple and blackberry crumble using the fruit available!
Thanks for making our stay so hospitable.

Thanks Su and Len for the welcome, the goodies, the stay and the lovely pet entertainment. Pleased Pula has survived the attention! Very comfy bed. We shall return. Nice to have finally met up.

Thanks Su and Len
beds were lovely and comfy (with a top sheet – absolutely wonderful and definitely an Aussie custom!) We made apple and blackberry crumble and found the “Tiny Tim” tomatoes lovely and sweet. Plenty of towels and very handy to Tewkesbury. Great country garden – managed ot get all our clothes dry – what a wonderful bonus!
BUT best of all – the old black cat! Could have taken her with us!!
AUSSIE! AUSSIE! AUSSIE! OI, OI, OI

Thanks for the wine, cookies & milk very welcome on arrival.
The cottage is very comfy and equipped. Amber (Rotti) enjoyed the large garden.
The Gloucester Old Spot pub is very nice and the food ‘superb’ well worth a visit.
We were very lucky with the weather, warm, dry & sunny and we have had a wonderful week.
Hope we are able to visit again.

Our second stay here was well enjoyed. Patsy provided a welcome remembrance and made herself friends with Kalobe again.
The weather was lovely – only a few grey days – not too cold!!
The fireplace was appreciated and well-used – very nice!!
The cottage was again relaxing and peaceful.
The wine and chocolates and milk on arrival were appreciated.
We hope to visit soon.

Great break away from the city at New Year. Recommend the Farmers Arms up the road for a lovely meal out. Loved ‘Patsy’ the black cat.

We are always made welcome at Cooks Green Cottage. Thank you for another lovely visit. Just a few days this time. See you soon.

The upstairs bed is fine and in the middle of the room! A well equipped cottage in a lovely location. Thanks very much for having us.

Thanks for the wine, biscuits were lovely. Good to see Pula is still with you. We will be back again soon.

Lovely cottage with everything we needed. The garden is great and our dog loved it. There are some nice places to visit.

Lovely stay, very well equipped, Brandie & marley loved the garden and meeting Bob.
Shame about the weather, but we came here to relax which we did very well. We did go out in between the showers, we would recommend Cooks Green Cottage 100% and we will come back :)
Thank you for the ‘welcome’ pack, very nice of you.
Very peaceful, quiet and relaxing.
Just the job.
Thank you.

Nice cottage and well equipped.
We enjoyed the “welcome” pack. The only thing that did not comply was the weather, more rain than sunshine. Nevertheless we had a marvelous time and drove almost 3000km to see everything. We looked like Americans seeing Europe in one day. The cottage with the garden are just fine and we had some blackberries from it. Sad to go home already, but we may come back.

Thank you Su for a very warm welcome, also the wine and biscuits etc. when we arrived a nice touch.
We have had a lovely time. Got the bus every day to Tewkesbury and Gloucester, done quite a bit of walking over the fields.
We found the cottage was very clean and comfortable, everything you need.
A nice break with the grandchildren. Hope to see you again.
P.S. Love your garden.

This is the perfect base for Andrew to research the family history at Gloucs Archives, While Tali and I relax and play at ‘home’.
We’re spoilt for choice with 7 riverside pubs to visit from Lower Lode Inn, SW of Tewkesbury, to the Red Lion Inn at Wainlodes. Our favourite is The Boat Inn at Ashleworth with draught perry, delicious carrot cake… and sightings of kingfisher.
The welcome gifts were much appreciated esp. the milk for first cuppa! Thank you.
